Isn't that just like him?!

Dang. Whether as Senate Majority Leader or as a disgraced Cabinet nominee, I can always count on Tom Daschle to work counter to my interests. Just when I've got him nailed as an example of media propaganda (see Dizzy is Just How They Want Us, below), he goes and withdraws his name from consideration. Still, it was spin that kept him on the table for as long as he was.

That's okay. It was just a simple mistake and you probably shouldn't have posted anything negative about him in the first place. You probably hurt his feelings. What's interesting to me about this whole tax fiasco with Obama's nominees is that he is going back on his commitment to America that he was going to have the most ethical administration ever... he isn't brave enough to call a spade a spade and not a spoon. Of course, I didn't buy into his rhetoric in the first place, but it's sad that too many Americans aren't willing to accept Obama for what he is, even when his lack of ethics is so obvious.

Thanks for your comment, Scott. I'm becoming more and more convinced that Americans only elected Pres. Obama for his symbolism anyway. As long as that stays intact, they'll wink at the other stuff, but when the Ship of State starts taking water over the side, I expect and hope they'll throw the glittering statue overboard and look for a real captain. That's the hope I beleive in!
